Early Years Professional Development Programme

Please be advised that the Early Years Professional Development Programme (EYPDP) is now closed to new applicants.

Launched as part of the DfE’s Early Years Education Recovery Programme to support the sector by delivering high quality CPD to up to 10,000 early years practitioners in England, the EYPDP welcomed its fourth and final cohort of practitioners in April 2024.

We are no longer accepting expressions of interest, but if you would like to learn more about the programme or have any questions, please email: eypdpsupport@edt.org

EYPDP in Numbers

Delivered by Education Development Trust, the Early Years Professional Development Programme (EYPDP) provides high quality professional development content, written by industry specialists, to increase practitioners deep subject knowledge across the core areas of Communication and Language, Early Mathematics and PSED.

By participating in the EYPDP, 97% of practitioners have said that they now feel more knowledgeable across the areas of content covered and more confident in their role. In addition, 93% of practitioners said they now feel more motivated to continue working in early years as they are seeing the impact of what they are learning on the children in their settings, and gaining more job satisfaction.
